The Hockomock Area YMCA in Massachusetts is known nationally as a leader in both inclusive strategies and success in creating healthier individuals through informed health interventions.

With support from Special Olympics, the Hockomock Area YMCA's Health Innovation team is partnering with their Integration Initiative to provide evidence-based health intervention programs (the YMCA's Diabetes Prevention Program and Healthy Weight and Your Child) to children with intellectual disabilities (ID). Implementing a successful Diabetes Prevention Program and creating inclusive opportunities for people with ID are two important priorities for the Hockomock Area YMCA and YMCA of the USA.
