Health Resources in Action (HRiA) is a leader in developing programs that advance public health and medical research. They work with governments, communities, scientists, and nonprofit organizations that share an imperative for resolving today’s most critical public health issues through policy, research, prevention, and health promotion.
Under the Special Olympics Inclusive Health Innovation Grant program, supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, HRiA collaborated with the National Fitness Foundation to develop resources that provide physical educators nationwide with instructional strategies to include students with intellectual disabilities in the fitness education process.
